9:00AM Start your day off at the Des Dutch Essenhaus in the charming village of Shreve for a Continental Breakfast with pastries from their Bake Haus. Enjoy the Amish made quilts and wall hangings in their gift shop and they will open Quilt?s & Things right across the street early just for your group. 10:00AM Depart 10:15AM Next stop the Wayne County Historical Society. We can arrange a guided tour of the complex with a stop in the Ladies Dress Shop to view antique linens and clothing. Your group can even attend a lecture and viewing of the society?s quilt collection in a little red school house. This stop is guaranteed to bring back many fond memories. 11:15AM Depart 11:30AM Quilters and non-quilters alike will love the Cat?s Meow Village. See a short video on the Cat?s Meow Story, explore their Mewseum, stroll through the store and see the MarketPlace exclusive Amish quilt piece, featuring an Amish barn, buggy, and an actual postal service quilt postage stamp! 12:30PM Depart 12:45PM Your group then sits down together for an family style meal or buffet at the Das Dutch Kitchen Restaurant, with their warm country style atmosphere. After lunch visit their gift shop and bakery. Everyone receives a cookie at departure for a take home treat. 1:45PM Depart 2:00PM No tour of Wayne County is complete without a short stop at Shisler?s Cheese House. Sample the best Swiss Cheese along with many other interesting goodies. 2:30PM Depart 2:45PM Next we will visit MCC Connections, a thrift shop operated by the Mennonite community of Kidron. Through donations of used clothing, they are able to recycle cloth into scrap material which is then used by volunteers to create beautiful handmade quilts, comforters, and woven rugs on site in their Quilt Room. 3:30PM Depart 3:45PM Our last stop today is Lehman?s Hardware where a piece of the past makes an excellent present. Shop where the Amish shop for non-electric items, old-fashioned toys and more. Just across the parking lot visit Hearthside Quilts, which offers a large selection of quality ready made pieced and appliqu?d quilts, wall hangings, and quilting supplies, patterns, and material. You will also want to visit the Kidron Town & County Store, serving the local Amish community with a huge selection of bulk foods, Amish straw hats and bonnets, as well as hard to find John Deere fabrics and printed quilt blocks. 9:00AM Start your day off at Buehler?s, where you will be greeted and led to the cooking school where your group will find refreshments followed by a cooking demonstration and COFFEE! Great restroom break. 10:00AM Depart 10:15AM Come experience the fall harvest at Ramseyer Farms in beautiful Smithville, Ohio. Your group can choose to discover one of their corn mazes, BUILD a life size scarecrow, or take a scenic hay ride through the pumpkin patch. They offer the only handicapped accessible hayride in Ohio so everyone can join in on the fun. 11:15AM Depart 11:30AM Next door to Ramseyers?s Farm is the Barn Restaurant. Housed in a remodeled old barn, they offer wonderful banquet facilities with a unique country style menu. After lunch experience the Shops of Buchanan Place across the parking lot from the Barn. Enjoy a 12-room Victorian Farmhouse filled with gifts and collectables, a terrific toy store, and an old-fashioned general store. Not a shopper? Sit and relax on one of their many benches around a small lake and feed the ducks and geese. Something for everyone. 12:45PM Depart 1:00PM Next stop is the Mishler Weaving Mill, run by the Smithville Historical Society. See cloth woven on their 100-year old looms. In the past, this mill was a supplier of cheese cloth to the local cheese industry. Now you are able to purchase dish clothes and rugs continuing the tradition started by John Mishler many years ago. 2:00PM Depart 2:15PM ?With a name like Smucker?s, it has to be good!? Just imagine a store filled to the brim with all of your favorite Smuckers products. At the Simply Smucker?s Retail Store in Orrville, Ohio you?ll find all your favorites along with gift baskets, a bakery and delicious products to sample. 3:15PM Depart 3:30PM Next stop is the P. Graham Dunn Gallery, which is located in the scenic Sonnenberg Valley nestled in Amish Country. On the tour, you will see craftspeople operating wood carving and laser-engraving technology and then enjoy the finished products in their 6,000 sq. ft. retail showroom that will be beautifully decorated for fall and showcases the charming wood gifts, and framed prints that they are so well known for. Send a tour roster ahead of time and engraved wooden pens can be waiting for your group upon arrival for a small charge. 4:30PM Depart 4:45PM No trip to Wayne County is complete without a stop at Shisler?s Cheese House. Sample some of the best cheese in Wayne County. Making a Difference Tour

9:00am-10:00am Our first stop in Wayne County this morning is at the newly constructed Visitors Center at Lehman?s Hardware for a restroom stop and break. You will have time to shop for non-electric goods at this Old-fashioned, family owned Hardware Store in the heart of Ohio?s Amish Country. Baked goods will be provided by the ladies of the local Mennonite Church Women?s Group who will benefit from this mornings coffee break. 10:15am-11:00am Just down the road is a unique thrift store operated by the Mennonite Central Committee called MCC Connections. A purchase from this shop improves people?s lives around the world. Visit their Quilt Room where you will watch volunteers creating beautiful quilts and rag rugs from recycled cloth and scrap materials. 11:15am-Noon Our next stop is Care-n-Share, a store that provides a channel for the physically challenged plain people and Amish widows to sell their fine crafted items such as baskets, quilts, and woodworking items. You can prearrange for a basket weaver to meet and demonstrate his craft to your group. All proceeds from this store go back into the hands who created it. 12:15pm-1:30pm Lunch this afternoon will be at one of our fine Amish style restaurants, buffets, ethnic, or unique eating establishments. We will be happy to help you make reservations and menu selections for your groups tastes and budget. 1:45pm-3:00pm Historic Downtown Wooster is home to many wonderful stores such at Everything Rubbermaid, Freedlander Department Store, and Gallery in the Vault. Two stores who's purpose is to make a difference in our community is Friendtique, a beautiful resale store operated by the friends of Hospice and Treasures by the Pound, a pet boutique operated by the Wayne County Humane Society. 3:15pm-4:00pm Our next stop is the Habitat Restore operated by Wayne County Habitat for Humanity. This store accepts donations of new and saleable used building materials, such as doors, cabinets, lighting, and more. This keeps usable building materials out of the landfills while helping low-income families build new energy efficient homes.

Wander through historic Downtown Wooster with it?s many unique stores, bakeries, and businesses. 11:15 Depart 11:30AM Arrive The Cat?s Meow Village where you?ll see a movie on the story of the company, explore the Mew-seum and make your own Cat?s Meow piece to take home. Browse through the Village Store for great gifts. 12:30PM Depart 12:45PM Enjoy an authentic Amish style meal at Amish Door, one of Wayne County?s famous Amish style restaurants in a warm country atmosphere. Cookie at departure for a take home treat. Visit Gifts From Above Gift Shop for great Christmas ideas or the bakery for homemade fudge. 1:45PM Depart 2:00PM Visit Lehman's Hardware in Kidron, where Amish farmers shop for cookware, tools, crockery, kegs, gas refrigerators, and many other non-electric items, over an acre under one roof. You'll find items you haven't seen in years. Take with you a special old fashioned treat.
